OMAHA FASHION WEEK — Jessica Stevenson

Pull out that couture and dust off those sky high heels ladies.

It’s one of the most stylish weeks in Nebraska: Omaha Fashion Week.

Touted as the “nation’s fifth largest fashion event,” the fab red carpet showcase provides a professional platform for some the region’s youngest designers.

It features everything from formal gowns to the most avant garde.

But before you book that blow out, you better have your VIP Pass in hand, because each of the shows are already sold out.

Lauren Kummer and I snagged a couple all-access press passes to the last show.

Here's what you missed...

Lauren and I stayed at The 402 Hotel, just a short uber to the Omaha Fashion Design Center.

For the Emerging Designer Showcase, Lauren and I were styled by The 308 Boutique in Holdrege, Nebraska.
The owner, Erin Sandy opened the store, giving us a one-on-one personal shopping experience.

Here I'm wearing the Apricot brand floral wrap dress. It's a sweet pattern with a seriously sassy silhouette!

For our second night, Lauren and I each out something from our personal collections.
I'm wearing a backless Tobi dress with Jessica Simpson OTK boots.
These boots are oldies, but goodies. They've been everywhere from behind the bar to red carpet, and a thousand places in between...and they're bound to make a re-appearance on this site too.

Now for the final event of Omaha Fashion Week, it's Shop the Runway. It’s an opportunity for runway guests to shop the styles they saw on the models. We were able to meet the designers, try on couture and purchase one-of-a-kind designs.

Again Lauren and I were styled by The 308 Boutique.

The top is Loveriche (I’m dying over the low back and lace accents), I honestly don't remember the brand of the earrings but they’re from 308, the jeans are Articles of Society... and I have to say, I LIVE in these jeans. The boots are my personal Sam Edelman's. (Again, another pair of boots that can withstand an entire night on the dance floor or day at the mall.)

At the end of the weekend Lauren and I were exhausted but thrilled to attend. We both would jump at the opportunity to go again, and you should too!
